We’re excited to announce that the latest Contensis for Councils release is now available!

This update focuses on improving the multilingual experience and refining usability – with a few key bug fixes to make managing your council websites smoother and more reliable.

Bug Fixes

We’ve squashed several bugs in this release to ensure your multilingual content and listings work as expected.

  • Multilingual content:
Fixed rendering and loading issues affecting translated content. This includes improvements across breadcrumbs, listings with category filters, taxonomy labels, and search results. Multilingual pages should now display more consistently and accurately across all languages.
  • News and Events listings:
Resolved an issue where the keyword search field on listing pages was inactive. You can now search and filter through your news and event items without interruption.

Improvements

Alongside the fixes, we’ve made usability and configuration enhancements designed to give you more flexibility when managing multilingual sites.

  • Language switcher:
The interaction between English and Welsh language switching has been refined to provide a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.
  • Search facets:
You can now define search facets separately for the languages a project is set to support. This makes it easier to customise search results and filters for users in different languages - giving you more control over your multilingual site experience.

Try it out

You can now explore these updates in your latest Block preview within your Contensis for Councils project. Once you’re satisfied with how everything looks and functions, you can make it live.
