Scheduled reviews remind editors to check content at regular intervals. This helps ensure published information stays accurate and up to date.
Reviews are set at the content type level, so all entries created from that content type follow the same schedule.
Before you start
You must have permission to edit content types or be a System Administrator.
When to use scheduled reviews
Use scheduled reviews when content needs to be checked regularly to ensure it remains accurate.
Common examples include:
- course pages that need reviewing before each academic cycle
- public service information that must stay accurate for residents
- policy or guidance pages that change over time
- content owned by multiple teams that needs regular oversight
If you only want to review content occasionally, you may prefer on-demand reviews instead of a scheduled review cycle.
Enable scheduled reviews
To enable scheduled review requests for a content type:
- Go to the content type you want to configure.
- Select the settings cog in the vertical toolbar.
- Open the Content reviews tab.
- Turn on Enable scheduled reviews.
- Set the review schedule.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Review period (days) | How often entries must be reviewed |
| Review window (days before due date) | How early an entry is flagged for review |
For example, you might review content every 180 days with a 30-day review window.
