Remove a tracked item

Page last updated 17 August 2026

Removing a tracked item takes a form or page out of a campaign. The form or page itself is untouched, and so are the responses it collected.

You need the Update action on the Campaigns permission, and the campaign must not have ended.

Remove a tracked item

  1. Open the campaign and find the card for the form or page you want to remove.
  2. Select the actions button on the card.
  3. Select Remove tracking.
  4. The Remove tracking? window opens, telling you This will remove the tracking criteria from the campaign.
  5. Select Delete.

The card disappears from the Tracking section.

What removing does and does not affect

Removing a tracked item takes away the target and the progress measured against it. Nothing else goes with it.

  • The form or page carries on exactly as before
  • Responses already collected stay where they are, with their captured context intact
  • The campaign's other tracked items are unaffected

If you add the same form or page back later with the same source and medium, it will pick up the responses that match, since campaign figures are worked out from the responses that exist rather than from a running total. See Understanding campaign performance.

Removing rather than editing

If you want to point tracking at a different form or page, remove the card and add a new one. A tracked item's form or page cannot be changed once it has been added, only its target, source, and medium. See Edit a tracked item.
