This latest Contensis for Councils release includes several enhancements aimed at making it easier for council teams to manage content more efficiently, enhance accessibility, and deliver better digital services to residents. Here’s a quick look at what’s new.

New features

  • Asset: We've created a new Asset component that can be added to Canvas layouts to allow authors to insert single asset files.
  • Socialise: ‘Nextdoor’ is now available as a social option in the footer navigation.
  • Meta icons: We've added a ‘handshake’ icon type to Meta: UI Card selection.

Improvements

We've made the following minor improvements to the Accordion component and table accessibility in Canvas fields:

  • Nesting: You can now upload images to an Accordion field in a Canvas.
  • Tables: We've updated the Canvas Renderer to include table header scope output for accessibility.

Bug fixes

We’ve also resolved several issues to improve navigation, accessibility and the front-end experience on multilingual sites:

  • Multilingual: We've resolved an issue with incorrect language retention in DOM for /CY pages.
  • Decision Tree: We've fixed a rendering issue experienced on Page: Contact Decision Trees.
  • Assets: Asset links now include an accessible “Open in new tab” label.
  • Location: A ‘null check’ is now applied to unpublished Category entries associated with a Page: Location Listing to resolve loading issue on live pages.
  • Contensis Forms: We've corrected an issue with semantic heading levels in forms.
