Heading field

The heading field editor is a text field that supports three fixed sizes. It allows a developer to separate defined headings in an entry without a HTML editor.

Settings

Setting name Summary
Name A text label to identify the field in an entry.
Field ID A sanitised name to be used by the API.
Default value The default value property sets the default content for a field when an entry is created.
Title field The title field is used in listings, the entry reference field editor and through the API to identify entries.
Description field The description field can be used to help identify similar entries in the editor and is also available in the Delivery API.
Read only Prevents authors from editing the field in the entry editor.
Allow multiple items to be added Sets the field to be repeatable, allowing an author to create a list of items.

Properties

Property name Summary
Placeholder text The placeholder property provides a short hint describing the expected value of a field.
Content guidelines Provides guidance to an author for the expected content the field should contain.
Size Determines the size of the rendered heading in the entry editor. The default value is set to Medium.
