Bulk unpublish assets

Unpublishing removes assets from your live site, wherever they are used. The assets stay in your asset library and remain visible in the listing. Only their published state changes.

1. Select Assets from the project sidebar.
2. Filter or search until the listing shows the assets you want. The Publish status filter is useful for narrowing to Published assets.
3. Tick the checkbox on each asset, or use Select all assets.
4. Select Unpublish 12 assets from the selection bar.
5. Review the Confirm bulk unpublish window and select Confirm unpublish (12 assets).

A progress message tracks the operation, followed by a summary when it completes.

There is no bulk publish action. Assets are published along with the entries that use them. When an entry is published, any assets attached to it are published too.

So to bring unpublished assets back to your live site, publish the entries that use them.

The Unpublish action appears if you can unpublish at least one selected asset. Where you lack permission for some, the confirmation window tells you how many will be skipped.
