View tracking performance details

Each tracking card has a View details link that opens a panel with a fuller account of how that form or page is performing.
Open the panel
- Open the campaign and find the card you are interested in.
- Select View details.
The Tracking details panel opens. Close it with Close tracking details button in the vertical toolbar.
Performance summary
The panel opens with a Performance summary: the count against the Target, labelled Form responses or Page visits depending on what you are tracking, and a sentence assessing how it is going.
The assessment covers eight situations, which is more than the four statuses on the card because it takes account of outcomes as well as pace.
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not started | The campaign has not begun yet |
| No progress yet | The campaign is running but nothing has been counted |
| Behind target | Running below the pace needed to reach the target |
| On track | Running at roughly the pace needed |
| Ahead of target | Running better than the pace needed |
| Target reached | The target has been met |
| Target exceeded | The target has been passed |
| Target missed | The campaign ended without reaching the target |
How this differs from the status on the card
The card and the panel are answering different questions, and it is normal for them to say things that sound inconsistent.
The card status is about pace: at this rate, will this reach its target by the end date? The panel takes the outcome into account as well: has the target actually been met?
So a card can read Behind while the panel reads Target reached, if a tracked item hit its number early and then went quiet. Neither is wrong. If you only want to know whether the number has been hit, read the panel.
Sources
The panel breaks the count down by where the traffic came from, with counts and percentages, so you can see which channels are contributing.
This is worth reading alongside the card's own source setting. A card narrowed to one source and medium shows one channel by definition. A card left unfiltered counts everything, and this breakdown is where you find out what everything was made of.
Audiences
The Audiences section lists the audiences associated with the responses or visits, in a table of Audience, Responses, and Percentage. The percentage is that audience's share of the item's total count.
Audiences need a Personalisation licence. Without it the section does not appear, and the rest of the panel works as normal.
View details, or view form responses?
Both come off the same card and they do different things.
- View details stays in the campaign and summarises: how it is going, which sources, which audiences
- View form responses leaves the campaign for the responses listing, so you can read individual submissions
Use the panel to understand the shape of the traffic, and the responses listing when you need the responses themselves. See View form responses for a campaign.
