View form responses for a campaign

A tracking card tells you how many responses a campaign has collected. To read the responses themselves, open them from the card.
View the responses behind a tracking card
- Open the campaign and find the card for the form.
- Select the actions button on the card.
- Select View form responses.
The form responses listing opens with the campaign's filters already applied, so you are looking only at responses that count towards that card.
What the filters are set to
Four things are applied for you:
- The campaign, matched on its UTM tracking ID
- The campaign's date range, as a created-from and created-to
- The tracked item's UTM source
- The tracked item's UTM medium
You can widen or clear any of them in the filter panel. Clearing the source and medium, for example, shows every response to that form within the campaign dates rather than only the channel the card was counting.
If the option is not there
View form responses only appears when all four of these are true:
- The card is a form, not a page. Pages have visits rather than responses, so there is nothing to open
- You have permission to view responses for that particular form. Campaign permissions alone are not enough, and the two are set separately. See Form response permissions
- The campaign has started. There is nothing to show for a campaign that has not begun
- The count is above zero
The last one catches people out. A tracked form sitting at zero has no responses to show, so the option is absent rather than opening an empty list. If you are following these steps and cannot find the option, check the card's count first.
A note on figures
The responses you see here are the responses that exist now. If some have been deleted, whether by hand or by the form's automatic deletion schedule, they are gone from both this list and the campaign's count. See Understanding campaign performance.
