Page last updated 31 March 2026

Bulk publish allows you to publish multiple entries at the same time when using a basic workflow.

This helps you make groups of content available to your site or delivery channels quickly.

Before you start

You must have permission to publish entries.

Bulk publishing is only available when the content type uses a basic workflow.

When to use bulk publish

Use bulk publish when you want to:

  • publish multiple draft entries at once
  • release a batch of related content
  • make updates to many entries at the same time

Bulk publish entries

  1. Open the Entries listing or run an advanced search.
  2. Select one or more entries using the checkboxes.
  3. Select Publish from the bulk actions toolbar.
  4. Review the confirmation message.
  5. Select Publish to confirm.

What happens after publishing

  • Selected entries are published to delivery channels.
  • Entry content and all language variations are published together.
  • A progress message appears while entries are being published.
  • A success message confirms how many entries were published.

Permissions and behaviour

Bulk publish applies to the entire entry, including all language variations.

  • Only publishable entries are processed.
  • Entries that are already published or not ready to publish are skipped.
  • You must have permission to publish the selected entries.

If some entries cannot be published, Contensis shows a summary explaining which entries will and will not be published before you confirm.
