Bulk delete allows you to remove multiple entries at once and move them to the recycle bin.

Deleted entries can be restored from the recycle bin for up to 90 days. After this period, they are permanently removed.

Before you start

You must have permission to delete entries for the relevant content types.

You must also have delete permission for all language variations of the entry.

When to use bulk delete

Use bulk delete when you want to:

  • remove outdated or duplicate content
  • clean up test or unused entries
  • remove content that is no longer needed while keeping a short-term recovery option

Bulk delete entries

  1. Open the Entries listing or advanced search screen.
  2. Select one or more entries using the checkboxes.
  3. Select Delete from the bulk actions toolbar.
  4. Review the confirmation message.
  5. Select Delete to confirm.

Permissions and behaviour

Bulk delete applies to the entire entry, including all language variations.

  • You must have delete permission for the entry’s content type.
  • You must also have permission to delete all language variations.

If you do not have permission for a language variation, the entry is skipped.

If some entries cannot be deleted, a summary is shown explaining which entries will and will not be deleted before you confirm.

What happens after deleting entries

After you bulk delete entries:

  • Entries are moved to the recycle bin.
  • A progress message appears while the deletion is in progress.
  • A success message confirms how many entries were deleted.
  • Deleted entries can be restored from the recycle bin for up to 90 days.
