Use the Audience editor to associate one or more audiences with an entry. Set up audiences in Personalisation, then use them to target Canvas content or page variations at visitors who match an audience.

The Audience editor is available on entry and component content types. It supports single and multiple selection, and you can restrict the audiences available to you.

Settings

Setting nameSummary
NameA text label to identify the field in an entry.
Field IDA sanitised name to be used by the API.
Default valueSets the audience selected when a new entry is created. Available for single selection.
Multiple selectionAllows you to select more than one audience.
Read onlyPrevents authors from editing the field in the entry editor.

Supported validation

This field editor supports the following validation methods:

  • Required field, for single selection
  • Item count, for multiple selection

Content guidelinesProvides guidance about the content you should add to the field.
Field visibilityDetermines if the field is shown collapsed when the entry editor loads.

Allowed audiences

Use the Allowed audiences property to restrict which audiences you can choose. By default, all audiences in the project are available. Use the search box to add audiences to the allowed list.
