When modeling content, you may find yourself creating fields with similar settings and properties. Within the content type builder we support the ability to duplicate a field, saving you time when building your content type. Let's look at an example here in this plant content type, we have a primary image field.

This field has a number of custom settings applied. It's got content guidelines, whether the alt text field should be displayed and where images should be uploaded to, as well as what images should be displayed in the image gallery. To duplicate this field, we can go to the actions menu and click duplicate field.

An exact copy of the field is created with all the same settings from the original. Let's take a look. Here we've got the alt text, the upload path, and limiting the display of the images. Now we can make any update to the properties that need to be different from the original. So let's update its name.
