As you build out your content type with additional attributes, you'll need to add fields from the toolbox into your content type definition. You can do this through drag and drop. Simply select a field that you want to insert and drag it into position.

You can give your new field a name, and as you see, the field ID is automatically populated, and this information will be used by the Management and Delivery APIs to display your content in your website or application.

As well as drag and drop, you can simply select a field from the toolbox and it'll be added into the content fields list directly under the one that's currently selected.

So if I select a date field, we see it's added directly underneath my new field.

To remove fields from a content type, select the field actions menu and click on remove field. I'll do the same for this text field. Please bear in mind if you have content published and the field is already in use, removing the field will remove the content from the entries created from this content type.
