Groups overview

Groups are a collection of users that are created and managed at an organisational level in Contensis.

Groups can be created within the Contensis interface, through the Security API or can be authenticated using your corporate identity provider by configuring Single Sign On.

• Contensis – a group that has been created through the Contensis interface or through the Security API.
• System – a global system group that has special permissions and gives access to resources in Contensis e.g. a Systems Administrator is an example of this.
• External – A group that is generated through a corporate identify provider when Single Sign On is configured.
