Set the version history default for new content types

New content types can start with version history switched on or switched off, depending on a project-wide default. Changing the default only affects content types created after you change it. Existing content types keep whatever setting they already have.

You must be a System Administrator to update project settings.

1. Select the settings (gear) icon in the project sidebar to open Project settings.
2. Select the Version history tab.
3. Under Version history defaults, use the Enable version history for new content types toggle to turn the default on or off.
4. Save your changes, then Publish.
