Every form in Contensis is equipped with a unique reference field. This field allows form responders to mention the form's reference number in any communication with the organisation that created the form. This article explains the process of updating the form reference field.

Setting the reference field prefix

The reference field comes with a prefix that is automatically set based on the form name. However, you can modify this prefix to better suit your organisation's needs.

  1. With a form opened for editing, select Form settings from the toolbar.
  2. Look for the section labelled Form reference, you'll see the automatically set prefix.
  3. To change the prefix, simply click on the Prefix field and enter your desired prefix. Ensure it is something that will be easy for your team and form responders to use.
  4. After entering the new prefix, Save and Publish to apply the new prefix to your form.
