Add instructions to a field in a form

Including instructions on form fields guides users on what to enter, reducing errors and improving the user experience. They help users complete forms accurately and efficiently.

1. With a form opened for editing, select the field that you want to add instructions to.
2. From the Settings panel locate the Field instructions property.
3. Enter the instructions that’s relevant to the majority of users, like how their information will be used, or where to find it.
4. Press Save and preview the changes to your form, and Publish when you are happy.

• Keep the text short and concise, the instructions text will be read by screen readers alongside the form labels.
• Avoid using links in instructions text, we want to encourage visitors to complete the form, not navigate away.
