Git branching

Blocks also support Git branching, giving you more granular control of feature development. You can surface any number of feature branches in Contensis through your CI/CD pipeline configuration, essentially pushing a Block for each branch.

Each branch is indicated in the dropdown of the main page header of the Block versions screen.

Whilst you can have an unlimited number of feature branches in Git and Contensis, we only run 4 deployments for the branches with the latest activity. If a new branch is required, the branch with the least recent activity is stopped.

Branches with no activity for 30 days are stopped and marked as stale.
