Track a page in a campaign

Page last updated 14 August 2026

Tracking a page tells the campaign to count visits to it. It works the same way as tracking a form, with two differences: you pick the page from your site structure rather than from a list, and there is no setting to switch on first.

You need the Update action on the Campaigns permission, and the campaign must not have ended.

Track a page

  1. Open the campaign and select Add tracking.
  2. Select Page tracking. The Add page tracking window opens.
  3. Browse the Site View tree on the left. Expand sections to work down to the page you want.
  4. Select the page. Its details appear on the right, replacing No page selected.
  5. Under Target and goals, enter the number of visits you are aiming for. It has to be a whole number above zero.
  6. Under UTM parameters, choose a UTM source (optional) and a UTM medium (optional) if you want to count only visits from a particular channel. See UTM sources and mediums.
  7. Select Add page tracking.

The window closes and the page appears as a card in the Tracking section, showing its name and path, a count of zero, and your target.

Browsing the tree with a keyboard

Tab to the page tree, then use the arrow keys to move through it. Enter or Space expands a section or selects a page. Once you have selected a page, Tab on to the target field and through to the Add page tracking button.

As with forms, you can track the same page several times under different source and medium combinations, but not the same combination twice.
