Add tags to multiple assets in bulk

Tagging assets makes them easier to find, tags are weighted heavily in asset search and appear as a filter on the asset listing.

1. Select Assets from the project sidebar.
2. Filter or search until the listing shows the assets you want to tag.
3. Tick the checkbox on each asset, or use Select all assets.
4. Select Add tags from the selection bar. The Add tags window opens, confirming "Add tags to the 12 selected assets".
5. Choose the tags you want to apply. You can select several.
6. Select Save.

There is no confirmation step. Tagging begins as soon as you select Save. A progress message appears, followed by "Add tags complete" and the number of assets updated.

• Tags are added, never replaced. Existing tags on an asset are kept.
• An asset that already has all the tags you selected is left unchanged.
• There is no bulk remove. To take a tag off an asset, edit that asset individually.

If you have permission to create tags, you can type a new tag name into the dialog and create it. You'll need to type at least three characters. Without that permission, you can only choose from tags that already exist.

Once tagged, assets can be found using the Tags filter on the asset listing. The filter also offers Un-tagged, for finding assets with no tags at all.
